Happy Holidays We here at John Shelley's Garden Center & Nursery wish all of our customers and friends a wonderful holiday season and a very prosperous 2000. 'Mark Your Calendar' - a correction In the Fall issue of "Roots & Shoots" we made an error in the date of our open house. Please mark your calendars for Saturday, April 15, 2000 to join us. John Shelley's Garden Center will be celebrating its 10th annual open house on Saturday, April 15, 2000 from 9:00AM - 2:00PM. Come join us for a tour of the Garden Center, along with good music, wine and snacks. We look forward to seeing you. Gift Certificates for the Holidays Last minute holiday shopping for a friend or relative who is an avid gardener can be traumatic for you - and if you choose the "wrong gift" - traumatic for them. Why not purchase a John Shelley's Garden Center gift certificate and let your special someone choose their own "gift". Lifetime Quality Gardening Tools Hardly a day goes by without someone purchasing one of our special stainless steel English, Swiss or American Gardening Tools. Here at John Shelley's Garden Center we don't carry the average breakable junk that you'd find at the mass merchandisers or hardware stores locally. (These stores count on you breaking their tools so that they can sell you more of the same type; that's how they stay in business with the tool manufacturers!). Our tools are made of the finest materials, assembled in a way as to prohibit breakage, and will last beyond our lifetime. Guaranteed. It's nice to have to purchase a tool only once, instead of every spring or summer because the last one bent or broke. And to be able to pass it down to your children as a family heirloom - as in the case of the stainless tools - is a special reason unto itself. Why not invest in quality? Exactly why we carry only those brands such as Latshaw's Estate and Chelsea Collections, Sheffield Pride, Felco, Yankee Craftsman and Garden Tools of Maine. Ask to see this line-up when you visit. After all, buying something once that lasts a lifetime is a sign of Yankee wisdom and practicality, not self-indulgence. What a great holiday gift for the gardener on your list! |
