New Perennials, Annuals & Nursery Stock for 1995 The year, over 110 Annuals, 30 Vegetables and 45 Herbs will be available, some never before seen or sold in this area by anyone before our introduction of them. With over 730 varieties of Perennials, 200 Ornamental Grasses and Bamboos, and over 1250 Cultivars of Nursery Stock this year, we still have the most anywhere in the Region. No one else even comes close. After all, quality and number of variety is what good gardening is all about. In addition to our $3.49-$3.99 quarts, we'll feature some superb 2gal, 3gal, 5gal, 7gal, 10gal & 25gal specimens that provide instant effect. In the Collector's Nursery, Nursery Stock this year sees even bigger changes; the 4-year old rare and unusual plant display area, just outside GH-4, features hard-to-find , unusual, rare and choice plant material, both evergreen and deciduous, and hardy to this area, of course. Most of this material cannot be found anywhere else in this Region, let alone in York or in Maryland! Seed Starting Materials Once again, we'll feature some of the most unusual annual, herb and perennial seed varieties available in the world: Shepard's Sed Company. We've given-up on run-of-the mill types like Burpee, N-K, Thompson & Morgan and others, because they're not asked for like Shepard's are, nor are they always fresh for that year. Many are leftovers and have a less-than 50% germination rate; hardly what you're paying good money for. Shepard's has a 95% germination rate and no fillers, like many of the others do. Everything you need, from flats, potting trays with humidity domes, inserts, soilless starter mixes, fertilizers, marking stakes, hand tools and gardening accessories to countless varieties of the new-for-us unique and upscale Shepard's Seed Company, Felton, CA., seeds and no-fade labels, are waiting for you right now just inside the front door at the Garden Center. Everything that is, except the desire to put it all together; and you'll supply that, no doubt to get spring bloom, fragrance and color into your life quickly. Stop in and be amazed. |
