1999 York Garden & Flower Show

John Shelley's Garden Center & Nursery had another wonderful year at the York Garden & Flower Show. It was great to see so many friends and customers and to meet future clients.

The show was held Thursday, February 25 through Sunday, February 28, 1999.

Our Landscape Foreman, Alan Miller, designed a beautiful exhibit utilizing approximately 1200 tons of stone and a unique water feature.

We were awarded an Honorable Mention for Outstanding Exhibit in the Landscape & Gardening Category.

We look forward to the 2000 show and hope to see you there.

Biological Integrated Insect Control

Here at John Shelley's Garden Center we have decided to take a natural approach for the control of unwanted insects in our Greenhouses.

We will be releasing beneficial insects in all our Greenhouses. These insects, ladybugs, lacewing and trichogramma, will be introduced in early spring.

Kunafin, a family owned business from Texas will be supplying the insects.
