1997 Workshop Schedule

Sign-Up For Classes Now!

Bonsai Workshops Class size is limited to 10 and a variable fee is charged for plant, soil, wire and pot. Class starts at 9am and runs until 12noon. Bonsai hobbyists are invited to bring their trees to class for personal consultation, periodic maintenance and instruction. Observers are permitted for a fee.

Landscape Design Workshops are limited to individual 1-hour instruction, with Workshops held on Saturday Morning and the afternoon. A $35.00 fee is charged for a preliminary draft #1 sketch and plant list of each entrant's property. Participants should bring pictures, scale drawings etc of their landscape for use in completing final site plan. The $35 fee is refunded with a minimum $500 purchase at the Garden Center.

Alpine Trough Garden Workshops are limited to 10 and a $85 fee is charged is charged for mould use, all basic Trough ingredients, basic planting soils and dressing stone at Workshop #1. Trough Gardens must cure slowly and may be planted-up at Workshop #2. Cost of final planting is determined by individual's selection of Alpine Conifers and Perennials.

Backyard Greenhouse Construction & Operation Workshops are unlimited in size. Includes set-up, operation and maintenance of The Doll-House Backyard Greenhouse?, of which we are an exclusive world-wide distributor. Mechanics of set-up and operation are covered in detail, along with plant propagation and growing techniques. A one-time discount on the 8'x12' greenhouse will be offered to course participants.

All other Workshops are no fee and class size is unlimited.

All Workshops start at 10:00 AM and end at 12:00 Noon, except where noted on above Schedule, or if Workshop Instructor decides to continue beyond that point. Rain-outs will be moved to an indoors location if possible, or rescheduled promptly.
