Don't Buy Cut, Dead Christmas Trees

You wouldn't buy dead perennials or annuals from us, so why would you buy dead, cut Christmas Trees from street corner and empty lot vendors or "The Dead Tree Merchants"? These forest products companies cut trees by the tens- of-thousands at Christmas Holidays, at a time when the World needs more trees, not less.

Time to break with the traditional stupidity of cut, dead trees.

Think about it:isn't it silly when you can purchase a Live B&B (balled & burlapped) Tree, enjoy it for a week or more during the Christmas Holidays, and then plant it out and watch it grow for many years to come. By adding a new tree yearly to your landscape, you've increased the value of your home at no extra cost over a dead, cut tree.

With a little forethought and preparation, which we can help you with, you and your family can experience the excitement that only a Live Tree can bring to the Holidays.

The world doesn't need more trees killed, the world needs more live trees.

Cut, dead Christmas Trees ruin the earth, make unscrupulous people rich and do nothing for your landscape.

Ask for details the next time you're here and we'll help you prepare for a whole new tradition that your family and the Earth will thank you for.

If you're online with the InterNet, you can read an article of mine published and read by millions of people worldwide at http://www.dsiegel.com/diary/dec.11.96.html,

that hopefully helped to change some traditional attitudes about Live Christmas trees vs cut, dead trees. Enjoy.

Water Gardens - New Products Update

We continue to add to our custom-built repertoire a number of conveniences for you to use in Pond Management of your Water Garden.

The 30-gal Bio-Filter with Multiple Water Dispersion Nozzles and Brass Drain-Back Valve is perhaps the best investment you'll make in algae management, coupled with 50lbs of Lava Rock, a Top Hat Filter Bucket and Cal- Pump sized your pond will pay dividends for many years to come.

And by signing-up for and attending the free Water Gardening Workshops, you'll learn to become a better Pond Manager, as well as pick-up numerous tips for balancing-out the critical elements such as fish, sunlight and plants, thereby reducing macro- and micro-algae problems.

Plus, we're now carrying an even more durable 42-mil EPDM (butyl rubber) Liner, which can be cut to your exact specifications, up to 20ft length and width.

Pond Netting for keeping out Fall leaves is available.

And new Charcoal Filtration Pads for the Top Hat Filter Bucket make cleaning the pond even easier.

Watch for specific new product introductions in the Winter issue of Roots & Shoots; we'll have them available for Spring 1998 purchase.
